Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and Advocate
Co-Founder of Fragile Peace Collective

Renee McCoy

Renee is a trauma-informed health and resilience advocate and Co-Founder of the Fragile Peace Collective (www.fragilepeacecollective.com), whose work is rooted in compassion, service, and the belief that healing is possible even after life’s hardest experiences.

For more than fifteen years, she volunteered in public schools, working with special-needs and at-risk students, helping young people find confidence, stability, and the ability to do their personal best despite difficult circumstances. She also served as a youth group leader and helped found a charitable initiative dedicated to supporting the unique needs of mountain communities.

Renee’s work later expanded into trauma-informed health and coaching. She is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). Her training includes multiple modalities of trauma treatment and extensive continuing education in trauma science, anxiety treatment, functional medicine, and the neurological foundations of healing.

Her studies include work with leading voices in trauma and mental health, such as Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Janina Fisher, Margaret Wehrenberg, Ron Siegel, Tony Atwood and Lynn Lyons, as well as training in functional nutrition and cognitive decline prevention through the work of Dr. Dale Bredesen.

Through her work, Renee advocates for individuals navigating the long-term effects of trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as those facing life-altering medical challenges such as cancer, autoimmune diseases and other serious illnesses. Her approach integrates trauma awareness, nervous-system healing, and whole-person wellness, with the conviction that recovery begins when people feel heard and are treated with dignity, patience, and truth.

The Fragile Peace Collective grew from that understanding — the recognition that many people carry invisible wounds, and that real strength is not the absence of cracks, but what grows through them.

Through her work, Renee helps create spaces where people can begin rebuilding their lives with honesty, courage, and hope. Her focus is on improving quality of life.

Renee lives in the mountains of Colorado and enjoys the beauty of nature and the wildlife around her every day.  She loves to cook, as food not only feeds the body but also the soul.
